Vegas Stronger Works Non-Profit Organization & TV Series on YouTube

Vegas Stronger is a non-profit delivering compassionate behavioral healthcare to the Las Vegas valley. Their mission is to reduce homelessness in Las Vegas through treating its root causes – substance-abuse disorders and mental illness. Through their diverse staff, they educate the public on best-practices in addressing our homeless crisis and utilize our thirteen strategies for treatment to free our city’s most underserved citizens from addiction and mental illness. Through the application of their Credo, every opioid (and/or any other drug) addicted person, will be provided an easily accessible pathway to seek out, find and live their own best life through an individualized recovery process.

Vegas Stronger Works Credo

Their Credo is based on the principle that change is optimally effectuated when our community is fully engaged in pulling together toward the desired outcome. All Las Vegans, regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, or any other demographic factor, deserve the opportunity to live a fully productive life free from addiction to opioids and or other drugs of every sort. Interventions required to achieve this outcome will often include non-opioid-based medication assisted treatment, behavioral therapy, safe housing, case management as well as occupational and vocational training. In addition to those factors, they also recognize the crucial healing role of nutrition, physical fitness, spirituality, and fellowship. Vegas Stronger is dedicated to full facilitation and integration in the delivery of these remedies.

Give to Vegas Stronger – Funding & Donations

Facilitating, providing and coordinating all these services will require funding. Vegas Stronger is a privately funded charity focused on reducing opiate addiction in Las Vegas. They will access grants as well as accept private donations. But above all, they will ensure all funding comes from, and is allocated to, sources that are consistent with their Mission, Credo and Vision. In addition, all funding will be expended only in pursuit of efforts aimed at providing cost-free, or on a sliding scale, Naltrexone to addicts in need. The reason Naltrexone is not widely available is due lack of a champion and exorbitant pricing. Vegas Stronger will be that champion and conduit.

At The Sober Curator, we believe in the power of giving. Whether it’s through volunteering your time, using your unique talents, or donating money, giving back to the community has numerous benefits. Not only does it make us better humans, but studies have shown that those who give are happier, have longer lifespans, and feel more connected to the world around them.

As Pablo Picasso famously said, the meaning of life is to find your gift, but the purpose of life is to give it away. That’s where Pay it Forward comes in. Our comprehensive resource directory is a curated list of reputable, recovery-related organizations that are seeking donations and volunteers to help enhance our communities.

At The Sober Curator, we are always on the lookout for new opportunities to give back. If you have a favorite nonprofit organization related to recovery and mental health that you think we should feature, please don’t hesitate to contact us at [email protected].

Let’s work together to make a difference and spread kindness and generosity wherever we can.
