Tuesday Tunes With @JoyfullySober: You’re A Sober SuperStar! That’s What You Are!

Tuesday Tunes Song of the Week: You’re a Superstar

Artist: Love, Inc.

Sometimes songs come into your life just when you need it.  Struggle was the name of the game this week: I was struggling with what I wanted to dance to this week, struggling with my own thoughts about who I am and what I am doing, struggling with body image, struggling with if I matter to people.

I got up Monday morning with a renewed sense of self and motivation.  Hopped up on the Peleton and on came this song.

YOU ARE A (SOBER) SUPERSTAR.  We all are.  Superstars come in all shapes, sizes, colors, etc.  Don’t ever forget it. I highly suggest downloading the lyrics to this song.

My affirmation this week is:  You were put on this earth to do great things.

PLAY IT AGAIN! Music can instantly transport you to another state of mind and alter your mood in a heartbeat. So, of course, we’re curating the greatest recovery tunes for our The Ultimate Sober Playlist.  This section features select songs that represent some part of our journey and serve as sobriety anthems in reminding us to stay the course. These are the ones that have us saying “Play It Again” and always end up on repeat. No decade or genre is off-limits. Happy listening!

What’s your sobriety theme song?  If there is a song you think should be on our playlist, we want to hear about it.  Send your requests to [email protected]
