Third Place Bar NYC Celebrates Sober Pride with Exciting Events and Festivities

Third Place Bar, a non-alcoholic pop-up bar in New York City, has officially announced their Pride Month programming for members of the LGBTQ+ community that are looking to have a fabulous booze-free night. Third Place Bar was founded by sober-curious data engineer by day and booze-free event planner by night, Sam Bail, in December of 2022. The pop-up non-alcoholic bar provides an alternative space to socialize that doesn’t revolve around alcohol.

When asked about the up-and-coming Pride programming for Third Place, Sam Bail enthusiastically stated, “We’re absolutely over the moon to be hosting Pride programming for members and friends of the LGBTQ+ community. I’m excited and grateful to work with so many amazing people in the next few months. It takes a village. We’ve put much thought and effort into these to bring you vibes, social connection, and carefully selected and crafted non-alcoholic drinks, with all the fun and none of the booze.

Third Place Bar wants to be the neighborhood bar where everybody knows your name; you stop by on your way home, chat with the bartender, bring friends, or make new friends, making it easier not to drink. Third Place Bar welcomes everyone, whether they’re not drinking tonight, taking a break, or are on a long journey.

About Third Place Bar

The name “Third Place Bar” comes from the concept of a “third place,” which refers to a space in a community that fosters social connections beyond a person’s home or work. In the spirit of that third place, events are kept accessible and inclusive by being priced at low cost or free.

The next steps for Third Place Bar include a residency at a coffee shop in Brooklyn during “Sober October,” where bar service will be run three to four nights a week. Next, Third Place Bar will transition into a permanent location that is a coffee shop during the day and a non-alcoholic bar at night.
