Sober Journeys London in 3 Days: A Whirlwind of History, Culture, and Adventure!
Are you ready to dive into London’s vibrant tapestry of history, culture, and modern marvels? Here’s how we spent our 3 days in the heart of this iconic city!
Sober in London Day 1:
We kicked off our adventure with a unique twist aboard the Bustronome, savoring delectable cuisine while marveling at London’s iconic landmarks. Tip: Don’t forget your headphones for an immersive tour experience! Tickets have two options, so you can pay for the wine option separately, which is nice for those of us who don’t like to pay for alcohol we don’t plan on drinking.
Sober in London Day 2:
The Shard beckoned us with its towering presence, offering panoramic views that left us in awe. Their menu offers a wide array of Mocktails for those of us who prefer adventures sans alcohol. Afterwards we then ventured across the historic London Bridge, tracing the footsteps of countless souls across the centuries.
As night fell, a private Airbnb Experiences tour took us on a spine-chilling exploration of Jack the Ripper’s haunting legacy. Standing by the ancient London Wall, we marveled at layers of history spanning millennia, from the Tower of London to the modern Shard.
Sober in London Day 3:
Our cultural odyssey continued with visits to the Prince Albert Museum and the British Museum, each a treasure trove of art, artifacts, and stories from around the globe. While we missed touring the Tower Bridge, we made a mental note for our next visit!
Throughout our journey, comfortable shoes were our best companions as we traversed London’s charming streets, logging an average of 20K steps daily. (Boy, was I glad not to wake up with a hangover with all that walking!)
And did you know? While the original London Bridge may no longer stand, you can still glimpse its old entranceway, a portal to centuries of history and human stories woven into the fabric of this magnificent city. Simply google the St. Magnus The Martyr” and you’ll find your way there.
