Sober In Seattle? Check Out The Masks & Mocktails Event

Are you sober in Seattle? Tacoma? Arlington? If yes, keep reading. If not, then you may want to check out this post by Axios that explains that Seattle is the #1 city that college students want to move to. (Thank you Amazon, Google, Microsoft, T-Mobile, Starbucks, Google, Facebook, Xbox, Expedia, …the list goes on.)

As a gal who has been sober in this city for nearly 16+ years, I get super excited to see the sober movement starting to open up in the city I love. Just last week, I was having dinner at The Butcher’s Table (located in Amazon-land) and to my surprise and delight, they were fully stocked with non-alcoholic beverage alternatives. Ok, Emerald City, I see you and it’s about damn time. I’m not sure who’s eyes got the biggest, myself or the waiter when I asked for a few brands by name. “We DO have Seedlip!” he declared. “We literally just got the full line in a few days ago and you’re the first person to ask for it by name.”

“Of course I am“, I thought to myself. I may not be a college student anymore, but I’ve still got it! Please refer to me as Alysse “Trendsetter” Bryson, aka the Director of Fun. (Seriously, go check my LinkedIn. That shit is official. #promisescomingtrue )

Masks & Mocktails Event, Sunday, March 27th 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm

For those of you not living your life on Instagram, there is a #sobercitymovement happening there, and from what I’ve gathered, it’s started from right here in our own green and luscious backyard. Three Instagram accounts that are a part of this movement, @sobernseattle @soberintacoma, and @sobernarlingtonwa have joined sober forces to host their first of many mocktail sober celebrations. And YOU’RE INVITED!

This party is to kick off these sober gals’ sober city dreams! Come enjoy mixologists showing new fun mocktails and AF options, live entertainment, food, and a raffle! Overlooking the stunning pier in downtown Seattle, come meet the sober gals behind this movement, and make some new sober friends in the community!
