Sober Climb Club: Empowering Recovery through Rock Climbing

Founded with a clear vision in mind, Sober Climb Club is dedicated to creating a healthy space for individuals in recovery. Its mission is simple yet powerful: to empower those on their recovery journey through the exhilarating sport of rock climbing. Partnering with Minneapolis Bouldering Project, the club provides a unique avenue for its members to engage in physical activity while fostering a sense of camaraderie within the recovery community.

At Sober Climb Club, inclusivity and support are fundamental values. There are no skill or sobriety requirements to join the climb adventures. The club’s sole focus is on creating a supportive environment where individuals can connect, encourage one another, and pursue healthy activities together. Climb club members range from 24 hours to 26 years in recovery from drugs and alcohol.

Mission: The club’s mission is to empower individuals in recovery through rock climbing, fostering physical, mental, and emotional well-being in a supportive community environment.

Vision: Sober Climb Club aims to expand its reach to as many individuals in recovery as possible. The vision is to provide them with the tools, support, and community needed to thrive on their journey towards wellness.

Join Sober Climb Club as it ascends to new heights, both on the climbing wall and in personal recoveries. Together, obstacles can be overcome, and the fullest potential can be reached.

About the Bouldering Project

WE PROVIDE FUN, INSPIRING, AND INCLUSIVE SPACES

We’re so much more than just a climbing gym, and when you walk through our doors, you’ll feel it. The Bouldering Projects are places where people gather, build friendships, push themselves, and build purpose. What we started back in Seattle in 2011 has now grown to Austin, Minneapolis, Salt Lake City, Brooklyn, Boston, DC, and Tempe. We continue to grow because we believe Bouldering Project makes places better and lives fuller.

Sober Curator Pro Tip: Are you sober and located in one of the cities serviced by The Bouldering Project? Reach out to them directly and see if you can start a Sober Climb Saturday in your city!

OUR SPACES

We offer a space for every need: expansive, world-class climbing walls; yoga and fitness studios; open functional fitness space with weights and cardio; co-working and social spaces for when you want to plug in or hang out.

We host first-timers, seasoned climbers, yogis, and everyone in between. We’re more than just gyms. BP exists as a community hub to welcome and care for people.
