Recess, A Sparkling-Water Rich In Flavor Infused With Hemp Extract & Adaptogens

I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect when my sampler box of Recess, a new sparkling-water beverage infused with hemp extract and adaptogens, arrived at my humble abode. That said, I am a sucker for great branding and packaging. The Recess brand has that part nailed down with a modern whimsy vibe. Honestly, I felt calmer just perusing their website with fluffy clouds, clever slogans, and an OPI-inspired pastel color palette.

Are you ready to take a recess from the craziness that is 2020? Yeah, me too! The mission of Recess is to help people feel calm, focused, and creative despite the world around them. Can I get an AMEN? Now, how exactly do they manage to fit this promise into the can?

It’s pretty simple. They knew that we all have too many tabs open, too many screens beeping at us in front of our faces and on our wrists. That 2 pm-3 pm afternoon workday slump is no joke. I feel it, but I don’t want to try and fix it with coffee. Their solution? Beverage science.

Recess uses powerful compounds that help our body and mind maintain a calm and balanced state. This won’t compromise your sobriety. You won’t feel triggered and it won’t make you feel high like some of those big brand energy drinks that are out there. Why? Because it’s good for you!

Ingredients:

  • Hemp – calms the mind, centers the body

  • American Ginseng – helps you focus, improves memory

  • L-theanine – eases tension, brightens mood

  • Lemon balm – boosts vitality, promotes balance

The flavors, and yes, you are going to want to try them all

  • Coconut Lime – is a good time in a weird place

  • Blood Orange – is an old friend with a new perspective

  • Black Cherry – is an introduction to the not-so-dark side

  • Peach Ginger – is easy drinking for easy days

  • Pomegranate Hibiscus – is fancy and full-bodied like a fine wine

  • Blackberry Chai – is the unlikely friendship we’re here for

You won’t be tired and you won’t be wired. Recess is a sparkling water infused with hemp extract and adaptogens for balance and clarity. It’s made with real fruit and no fake stuff for flavor. What do I think the best part is? It’s low in sugar. I mean low people and I love the taste. Currently, the Blackberry Chai is my go-to.

COLLAB ALERT! They made CBD infused dog bones with Maxbone and I’m here for it

Recess recently launched “The Walk Collection”. Now you and your dog can take a Recess together. Included in this collab with Maxbone? Some CBD dog treats, some clothes, some comfy slides. Now all you need is a dog! I have two, so if you need to borrow my spare and you live in Seattle, hit me up. My bitches, Roxie & Bella, are super high energy and need a lot of walking to get them to chill the F&*% out. I can not wait for their Recess package to arrive. WOOF!

Don’t want to take my word that this brand is the shiz-nit?

Ok, that’s weird but fine. Check out all of the accolades about this brand in their press section of the site. The Sober Curator is only a few months old, so we aren’t quite The New York Times, Forbes, or Food & Wine. I’m just trying to give it to you straight. This stuff is the bomb. A friend of mine that works at Amazon claims that Recess is her go-to on those days when the hours and list of tasks are long.

Reality Check!

Sober Curator Pro Tip: Recess also offers a fun clothing and objects line called Realitywear. If you know me, then you know that I consider #addtocart a sport. I’ve got my eye on the flashback pink bucket hat, the blackberry chai bandana, and then walking around the block socks. (Because you know, those bitches aren’t going to walk themselves). Check out their online shop here and happy #addtocarting! (Yes, it’s a word. I made it up, but it’s a word starting right now)
