#QUITLIT: Freeway Rick Ross, The Untold Autobiography by Rick Ross and Cathy Scott

“Freeway Rick Ross,” tells a story of a kid who had dreams like any other kid. However, his dreams were stolen by a school system that failed him. Instead of becoming the next great African American tennis player, Ricky’s life would take a totally different turn.

Rick Ross never wanted to be a drug dealer. It could be argued that he may have experienced more trauma before the age of 10 than many of us do in a lifetime. However, Rick wasn’t going to let the circumstances around him dictate his life.

Freeway Rick Ross became the biggest drug Kingpin in Los Angeles. Eventually arrested, Ricky used his time in prison to reflect on what he had done to his community and resolved to give back as much as he could to make up for his crimes. After being released from prison, Rick Ross became a speaker, author, actor, and entrepreneur. He travels to inner-city schools telling his story to young men and women in high school and warning them about the allure of selling drugs and what can happen.

Freeway Rick Ross the Untold autobiography is a story of overcoming childhood trauma,  rising to the highest heights, and falling to the lowest low. Most importantly, it is a story of redemption and resilience.
