OH (SOBER) CANADA! It’s Time to Recover Out Loud! Hype Recovery Presents Empower 2 Recover

On May 27th, 2023, Empower 2 Recover is hosting a one-of-a-kind conference to inspire real change in the mental health and addiction space. The event will take place at the Anvil Centre in New Westminster from 11 am-6 pm, featuring NHL legend and author Theo Fleury as the keynote speaker, CFL champion Shea Emry opening the event, and Canada’s Got Talent semi-finalist Beatrice Love with a closing performance.

The conference will bring together a diverse group of TEDx speakers, entrepreneurs, and authors in long-term recovery, providing attendees with proof that recovery is possible. The conference aims to inspire attendees to make a positive change in their communities and come up with ideas on how to tackle the addiction crisis in Canada.

What Makes This Event Special?

What sets this conference apart is that all organizers and speakers have lived experience in substance use and mental health disorders. Empower 2 Recover is the first of many events planned across Canada to raise awareness and find solutions to the addiction crisis. The organization has also launched a podcast to help reach those who cannot attend the events.

“We are thrilled to be hosting Empower 2 Recover in New Westminster and hope to make a real impact in the mental health and addiction space,” says Jay Barnard, founder of E2R. “We believe that by bringing together those with lived experience, we can create a community that supports one another and works towards finding solutions to the addiction crisis.”

This event is a must-attend for those looking to make a positive change in their communities and help tackle the addiction crisis in Canada. Tickets are available on the Empower 2 Recover website, and more information on future events and the podcast can also be found on the site. Join us on May 27th and be a part of the solution.
