How To Make A Peeps Diorama: 28 Days the Movie Starring Sandra Bullock

Easter Peep Show – Peep this out! I’ve always wanted to make a Peeps Diorama. Like, if people had a DIY bucket, this activity would be on mine. Is that a thing? I don’t know. I’ll google that later. (Google is my cardio by the way.)

A few weeks back, I started Googling “Peeps Diorama Addiction Treatment Center,” The only marshmallow candy-covered diorama I found was a Sugar Rehab. (Pictured below) Close, but not exactly, my vision of what treatment looks like.

“Sugar Coma Rehab,” created by the staff and clients of Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute at United Hospital.

Once I Googled “Tiny Chairs” – I Knew That Was It!

Once I googled “tiny chairs,” I knew that was it. I started hoarding random tiny crafts supplies and re-watching one of my favorite movies of all time, 28 Days with Sandra Bullock.  Here’s the gist of the movie: A big-city newspaper columnist is forced to enter a drug and alcohol rehab center after ruining her sister’s wedding and crashing a stolen limousine. If my sister had married before I got sober, this movie would have been my life.

Confront Me if I Don’t Ask For Help

Confront me if I don’t ask for help! Unless it comes to crafts! I’m fine creating random DIY projects I’ve seen on Pinterest. While most of them tend to turn out as Pinterest Fails, this ridiculous sugar-covered masterpiece turned out pretty good. Initially, I also wanted to recreate the musical towards the end of the movie when Gwen (Bullock’s Character), Andrea, is released from the treatment center. I’d envisioned re-creating the Santa Cruz soap opera reenactment, but I ran out of crafting steam. Perhaps if was entering this magical candy land masterpiece into a state fair competition, I would have tried to keep my crafting stamina up and take it to another level. But, I decided it was better to take things “One Peep at a Time.” #seewhatididthere

CURATED CRAFTS: You got sober, now what are you going to do to keep your hands busy? And no, you don’t have to take up knitting. Although, if you enjoy it, then get your knit on homie! Art therapy is a technique rooted in the idea that creative expression can foster healing and mental well-being. Maybe you’re the next Sober Picasso or maybe you’re the next big Pinterest Fail. Either way, you’re creating something with your hands. That’s a great way to relieve stress and express your feelings.
