AND BECAUSE THAT SONG IS NOW IN YOUR HEAD
True blue, Erin I love you! You know someone is a good friend when they let you haul over boxes of DRY Botanical Bubbly flavors and vintage glassware to their house on a random Saturday afternoon in September. Then, they let you drag them to the local grocery store. Together as friends you mask up and head into the store with the list in hand, careful not to touch anything or anyone. Six feet apart. Six feet apart. Only to get back to her house and proceed to play bartender and mixologist, DJ, hand model, photographer, and food & beverage photo shoot stylist. Now THAT is a good friend!
Erin and I didn’t know each other in the 80s. But I bet if we had, we would have listened to the same music, shop at the same stores, watch the same shows, and read the same magazines. Erin loves the 80s SO much that she threw herself, with assistance by yours truly, the most epic 80s themed 40th birthday party. Don’t believe me? We have videos to prove it! I told ya’ll that sober does not mean boring.
TASTING NOTES:
Alysse (ME): “I’m bloomin’ sober! (My son will tell you I’m not funny) I really enjoy the hint of blueberry. This one is delightful. I could drink this on the regular.”
Erin (BESTIE): “The lavender is stronger than the lemon. You could say it is a #lavenderfoward beverage, which I wasn’t expecting, but in a good way.”

Speaking of true blue, this was my outfit on the day at Erin’s that we did the beverage tasting tour and mocktail photo shoot. The trucker hat is actually from Deep Ellum Art Co. located in the Deep Ellum neighborhood of Dallas. This was a souvenir I scored on a work trip to visit Lisa C.
You can read a current story that Lisa featured in August about this neighborhood. Lisa and I have a shared interest in loving street art. The Dallas Army of Artists and Deep Ellum 100 banded together to promote healing by turning brokenness into beauty with over 100 evocative new murals. You can read all about it HERE.
The T-Shirt says “SOBER IS THE NEW COOL” and a cool organization from Canada sent it to me. You can read about them HERE.
