Kul Mocks, A Majority Women-Owned Business, Is Leading The Non-Alcoholic Beverage Category With Purpose And Passion

Creating KUL MOCKS wasn’t just about the beverages, it was about creating the experience of drinking a cocktail, without the alcohol. At The Sober Curator we believe that celebrating and socializing should be inclusive for all. KUL MOCKS is the perfect brand for the drinker seeking a great-tasting, non-alcoholic option. We’re sober, not boring. Why should our drinks be limited to water, soda, tea, or coffee?

Meet the Makers

This Wisconsin-based brand stems from a husband and wife duo, Nate and Danielle Goss. They were overjoyed when they found out they were expecting their first child. As a couple who took pleasure in socializing over cocktails, they began seeking non-alcoholic options for Danielle. They quickly realized that booze-free cocktails and ready-to-drink mocktails were hard to find. Not only that, they were basically non-existent in stores, bars, and restaurants.

Soda and sparkling water didn’t fill the void of having social cocktails with family and friends. Because of that, Danielle – also a Registered Dietitian by trade – spent the summer and fall of 2019 creating her own mocktails from scratch. After extensive market research, they realized there was a demand for 100% booze-free options that extended well beyond pregnant women.

They learned that the world’s continued focus on health and wellness created a new group of consumers. These consumers classify themselves as “sober curious” or “mindful drinkers” fueling the demand for low- and no-alcohol beverages.

Want to hear an interesting fact? Did you know that an estimated 23.5 million people in the United States are living in long-term recovery from alcohol and other drug addictions? That’s right, long-term recovery. We’re out there and there are a lot of us. Maybe we just get bad press because we used to lie, cheat, steal, blackout, and pass out in random places? Ha! In reality, I think it’s not talked about because the stigma is still so strong.

Guess what? People can change. With nearly 15 years under my sober belt, I like to think I help contribute to setting an example. My personal goal is to show that a sober lifestyle is possible, rewarding, and wildly entertaining.

Thanks to emerging companies like KUL MOCKS, it’s getting easier and easier for people like me who abstain from alcohol to still enjoy the ritual of enjoying a tasty beverage. Whatever the reason to celebrate or just have a me party, KUL MOCKS makes it easy with these ready-to-serve non-alcoholic options.

Leading with Purpose

KUL MOCKS passion extends well beyond their beverages. They are a majority women-owned business and are determined to help people live their best lives. In a fast-paced world where there’s an option for just about anything.

In the summer of 2020, in the middle of a global pandemic, the KUL MOCKS experience became available. Designated drivers, the sober and sober curious, expectant and nursing moms, and the millions of health-conscious consumers across the US cheered! Can we get a sober amen?!?! Thank you KUL MOCKS!

#ADDTOCART KUL MOCKS

If I had to pick just one, oh my that would be tough. While I would have thought the Mock Mule would have been my favorite, because I’m mildly obsessed with ginger, it was the Blackberry Mock-jito that actually won me over. Thankfully because they offer a variety pack, you don’t have to try just one! So go on, try them all and have fun with your glassware, ice cubes, and garnishes.

We know we mix a mean mocktail. HAPPY EVERY HOUR will keep you up to date on the latest and greatest trends in the world of mocktails and zero-proof beverages. TRIGGER WARNING: People in early sobriety may want to proceed with caution. Feeling anxious? Check your intentions and motives. Call someone in your sober network that knows you well and talk it over with them. Please hydrate responsibly … because drunk never looks good.
