Bundaberg Brewed Diet Ginger Beer From The Land Down Under Is Made With The Finest, Australian Grown Ginger & Sugar Cane
Bundaberg Brewed Drinks is a family owned, Australian business that has been creating craft brewed premium soft drinks since the 1960s. While I do think I mix a mean mocktail, I’m also incredibly lazy. Sometimes, I just want to pop the cap to some fizzy fun at the end of a long day. While I may be a recovered alcoholic, I think it’s fair to say I have turned a Ginger Beer alcoholic. There is no shame in my Ginger Beer game. I want to try them all.
Perusing down the aisles of QFC a few weeks back, I spotted a 4-pack of Bundaberg Brewed Drinks Diet Ginger Beer that caught my eye. I’m always on the look out for new alcohol-free beverages to try and this was a Ginger Beer I had not seen before. I’d recently joined a private Facebook group led by Unwstd. an alcohol-free community based in Sydney that has some really cool stuff going on. Stay tuned for future collabs with our new Australian zero-proof friends. We’ve got some cool stuff in the works!
So what’s the secret to the Bundaberg Brewed Drinks family recipe? I needed to know more.
Taste takes time
Most drinks on the market are quick, factory mixes that take less than one hour to make. Bundaberg Brewed Drinks carefully craft-brew their drinks for as long as it takes to achieve an exceptional taste. If that means taking seven days, then they will take seven days.
The real deal
Ever been wooed by a fancy bottle only to find the drink inside is a bit average? Nothing compares to the natural taste that comes from real fruit juices, herbs and spices. Some drinks fake it. They make it, for real. I can personally attest to this after sampling the Diet Ginger Beer. I’ve since purchased two more 4-packs. Turns out, this flavor is their crown jewel in their beverage line-up and I can see why.
Homegrown ingredients
You’re sober now which means you probably actually care what you are putting in your body. The fertile sub-tropical soils of Queensland on Australia’s east-coast are perfect for growing ginger and sugarcane. So whenever they can, Bundaberg Brewed Drinks proudly source local product. Guess what? They even grow some of their own.
Taste-bud tested
Bundaberg Brewed Drinks believe there’s a simple art to taste-testing a natural product like theirs; get real people to do it. Dear Bundaberg, I volunteer as tribute! Let me know how soon I can start!
Glass is best
Bundaberg Brewed Drinks could run a much easier business overnight by switching to plastic bottles. But they’re passionate about preserving the integrity of their brewed drinks, so they always bottle in glass. It’s part of what makes our drinks the best non-alcoholic drinks available. Plus, glass bottles can easily be recycled and even repurposed.
Invert and enjoy
There’s a little secret to unlocking the big flavor in every, single Bundaberg brew. It’s as simple as inverting the bottle for a few seconds before you pop the top, so the real pieces of fruit, herbs and spices are released into the drink. Hold it up to the light and you can see the delicious cloud stirring to life. The sound of the “pop” when the lid comes off is also oddly satisfying.
What does Bundaberg Brewed Drinks Diet Ginger Beer and E.T. have in common? NOTHING! I just happen to love both! You’ve heard it here before and you’ll hear it here again. At The Sober Curator, we love to have fun with our glassware. Combine that with our obsession for all things pop culture, we have a lot of fun with our glassware. I’m very nostalgic and love a trip down memory lane to the glasses I drank from as a kid. Maybe this was because it happened in a time before alcohol and drugs entered my life?
Whether I find my glassware at local thrift shops or on eBay, I’m always on the hunt and my cupboards are currently overflowing with E.T., StarWars, Muppets, Charlie Brown, Care Bears, and more. I still have fun drinking, I just don’t get drunk or blackout. What a concept!
