Why Stand-Up 4 Recovery?

  • One of the biggest fears for those in early recovery is the dread of boredom. It’s a common complaint among those who have experienced setbacks, with many citing it as a trigger for their recurrence of symptoms. Especially at night, when vulnerabilities can be at their highest, there’s not much to do for those in recovery.

  • People in recovery love to have a good time, maybe even to a fault. Take away their favorite thing, and they’re even more determined to try and enjoy life. And that’s where Stand-Up 4 Recovery comes in.

  • By standing on stage, sharing their lived experience, strength, and yes, jokes, Stand-Up 4 Recovery exemplifies resilience, reduces stigma, and serves as a beacon of hope for those in and seeking recovery.

  • Through the power of laughter, Stand-Up 4 Recovery fosters connection and reminds us that while recovery is serious, we don’t have to take ourselves too seriously.

It’s always the perfect day for a perfect day!
