Amy’s Story Part 1: The Start of a Journey to a New Life

Welcome to Eternally Amy! Amy Liz Harrison has always been looking for a connection throughout her life, from her early years as an awkward girl in the choir, through her years at college and meeting her husband. It wasn’t until Amy became a mother and fell in with a friendly neighborhood book club that she stopped feeling like an outsider… even if that came with several glasses of wine. But surely she could stop drinking whenever she wanted, right?

Amy’s Story Part 2: A Night in King County Jail

Amy knew her life was becoming completely unmanageable and that she couldn’t continue how she was living. At her husband’s suggestion, Amy checks in to rehab to work on her “depression” but relapses immediately at the airport on her way home. Amy shares more about the lows of her relapse, the mailboxes she hit after picking her kids up from school, and the night in King County jail that it resulted in.

Amy’s Story Part 3: Emerging from Rehab… Again

With the risk of losing her family becoming a reality, Amy realizes she needs to do everything she can to commit to her rehabilitation. Being fully ready to commit to the 12 steps, Amy shares more about navigating the first awkward situations in life upon exiting rehab, the importance of finding the right sponsor, and choosing to believe.
