Best Day Brewing Kolsch Is a Perfect Light, Balanced NA Beer, Full of Flavor & Sexiness

If you order some brews from Best Day Brewing out of Northern California, you might get a hand-signed thank you from their founder, Tate Huffard. Regardless of your feelings about the name Tate, this guy knows how to make a beer. Best Day Brewing is a reasonably new brewery and their limited selection only includes their Kolsch, West Coast IPA, and Hazy IPA (which is currently sold out). They claim to have made their beer non-alcoholic because “life is chock-full of moments that deserve a great beer, but not the booze.” I’ll drink to that.

This week, we are drinking a Kolsch-style beer from Best Day Brewing. I like to think of Kolsch as a European light beer. It’s got all of the full flavor that you want in a pilsner or amber, but the light color and feel of a crisp lager. This brew by Best Day Brewing falls right in line with those expectations.

Right on the first pour Best Day Brewing delivers that clean light color and crisp white head. The aroma off the top of this Kolsch-style ale is balanced with hints of malt, barley, and hops. The beer pours down your gullet hole with satisfaction and more balance. It has a very light mouthfeel and hints at roasted malt, but not so heavy you’re confused about what you’re drinking. A perfect light, balanced beer, full of flavor and sexiness.

Untappd gives this Kolsch-style ale from Best Day Brewing a 3.7 out of 5, and hell, I may just punch someone in the dick and get that rating up to a 4.5. I am a big fan of this brewery. I have only had two of their three selections, but I am already a long-time customer. I will be watching and waiting for their Hazy IPA to come into stock so I can increase my own inventory. Cheers to NA beers!
