Brainwashed Coffee Co.

We all seek to be on the beam in recovery. They say you’re there when you’re happy, joyous, and free. This three-pack bundle of Found a New Freedom, Coffee Commitment, and Your Ego Ain’t Your Amigo, gives you a variety of our best coffees…and positive vibes to keep you serene all day.

To people in recovery, substances are indeed cunning, baffling, powerful, sneaky, tricky, and a host of other destructive descriptors. Those in the program will know this from the literature (and from first-hand knowledge), but with three bags of Higher Powder, our darkest, most robust, powerful coffee, we can all get through the toughest moments with just a jolt of caffeine.

Do you have a burning desire? Maybe a candle will help. This hand poured candle by ROOMY Candles is perfect for meditation, manifestation, and reflection. It will fill your space with a gentle coffee aroma without that caffeine rush. Buy, gift, and enjoy!

But wait! There’s more!

Can Shaped Drinking Glasses & Reusable Glass Straws

Just because we’re sober now doesn’t mean we don’t still love to have fun drinking! I am utterly obsessed with can-shaped drinking glasses and reusable glass straws. Just take a look at my Amazon storefront, and you’ll notice I still want to have fun with my drinkware, even if it is booze-free. I love the way the can-shaped glasses feel in my hand. The best thing about the glass straws, besides how they feel in your mouth, is that you can see inside. As much as I love the stainless steel reusable straws, my OCD flairs up, and I’m always nervous about leftover gunk lingering inside. They are also incredibly durable, and I have yet to break one.

Sober Curator Pro Tip:

Want to shop for glass straws but not from Amazon? I don’t blame you. Maybe you are looking for a unique design when it comes to your glass straws? Trust me; once you go glass, you’ll drink off your ass! (keep it booze-free, ok people?) It feels so much better to patron a locally owned business. Thanks to the intro from Nik at @Tonix.Mocktails to Andrew, the owner, I’ve also made some great purchases from Surfside Sips.

Use my code THESOBERCURATOR and receive 20% off your purchase. He carries a variety of hand-crafted glass straws of all shapes and sizes, including some really cute decorative ones. Star Wars fans, you will NOT want to miss out on his glass lightsaber straws!

Malicious Women Candle Co.

Illuminate the way…one candle at a time!

Coping with the loss of her dear friend Laura and dealing with family tragedies made Lacie Marsh Carroll, the owner of Malicious Women Candle Co., determined to make and light a candle to honor and remember them.  She devoted her entire focus to learning how to pour candles, blend scents and test hundreds of candles. If Lacie wasn’t sleeping, she was melting wax in a crockpot and pouring.  She was determined to make the perfect candle in remembrance.  This was her therapy and the beginning story of Malicious Women Co.

The name “Malicious Women” came from years of conversations with Laura.  They would talk about their days and tell each other what they “should have said” in shitty situations if only we were a little more “malicious.”  This is why Lacie’s mission at Malicious Women Candle Co. is to give back in Laura’s memory and  Illuminate the Way… One Candle at a Time!

Brighton Jewelry

With an angel watching over you, feeling safe and protected gives you the confidence to carry on when the future is unclear. Many of us in recovery find comfort in using the Serenity prayer daily. I KNEW I HAD TO HAVE IT IMMEDIATELY when I spotted this Serenity Angel Amulet at the Brighton shop. It’s one of my favorite necklaces to wear on its own or layered with others. Brighton offers the Serenity Amulet on its own, or you can pair it with a variety of necklace lengths and even a link bracelet.

And for those of you that read my Holiday Recovery Gift Guide of 2020, yes, Brighton made the list again this year because that’s how much I love this necklace. It’s a well-made piece, with meaning, and at an affordable price.
