Best and Worst Dressed at the Critic’s Choice Awards

The red carpet was a mix of elegance, bold risks, and a few fashion missteps. Demi Moore stole the show in a custom Schiaparelli, while Bowen Yang redeemed himself in perfectly tailored Valentino. Angelina Jolie exuded old Hollywood glamour in Elie Saab, and Hannah Einbinder proved an exaggerated hip can be a showstopper in Louis Vuitton.

On the flip side, Michelle Yeoh’s Balenciaga experiment fell flat, Joey King’s Miu Miu was a Y2K fever dream, and Kate Hudson’s Thom Browne gown left us longing for more. Fashion is always a gamble—who was your favorite?

BERO Edge Hill Hazy IPA

I was recently asked to review the three BERO Brewing’s NA beer styles. I had not heard of them before the request, so I was curious to find out where this brewery called home and their story. Well, it turns out this brewery is backed and founded by Tom Holland. Maybe you recognize that name immediately, but I did not. Yes, it’s the English actor Tom Holland, best known for his starring role in the Spider-Man franchise. What’s that got to do with beer? I stumbled upon a wonderful interview with Tom on the Rich Roll podcast.

Is Wolverine An Alcoholic?

As a self-proclaimed superhero aficionado, Disney fan, and Star Wars enthusiast, there’s nothing quite like immersing oneself in the cool embrace of a movie theater during the scorching, sticky summer months. The anticipation of catching the latest flick alongside my adult son, Jakob, for this summer’s blockbuster hit Deadpool x Wolverine filled me with excitement and nostalgia. From savoring buttery popcorn for dinner to donning 3-D glasses and eagerly awaiting the trailers, these movie outings have become cherished moments shared with my favorite human. We’ve been going to Marvel movies together for as long as he can remember.

Tom Holland’s Path to Sobriety

Tom Holland, best known as Spider-Man, recently opened up about his sobriety journey and how it inspired him to create his own non-alcoholic beer brand, Bero. After struggling through Dry January in 2022, Holland realized he had a complicated relationship with alcohol. As he extended his sobriety into the following months, it became clear that drinking had become more than just a way to celebrate—it was something he felt dependent on.

By June of that year, Holland fully embraced the benefits of sobriety—better sleep, mental clarity, and stronger relationships—and now, two years alcohol-free, he’s taking things to the next level. Just in time for Sober October, Holland has launched Bero, a non-alcoholic beer brand that reflects his values and lifestyle. With flavors inspired by his hometown of Kingston and his schnauzer, Noon, Bero is all about craftsmanship and quality, proving that going alcohol-free doesn’t mean compromising on taste or experience. Another win for the sober-curious movement!
